UFC Fight Night: Machado Garry vs. Prates Main Card Picks
Ian Machado Garry vs. Carlos Prates
We thought Machado Garry would be at shorter odds than $1.72 to beat Prates, but most of the early money has come for Prates to pull off an upset.
He is 21-6 following a knockout win over Neil Magny, which came in the first round. That was an impressive performance, but Magny has holes in his defence, and Machado Garry is a much harder fighter to hit.
While Machado Garry’s performances might not get the crowd excited, he does the job. He’s a potential future champion in the UFC, and we can’t see him suffering defeat to Prates, so include him at $1.72 before late money comes for the Irishman.
Anthony Smith vs. Mingyang Zhang
We would love to see Lionheart score his 39th MMA win on Sunday, but the American might have met his match with Mingyang Zhang.
Anthony Smith is one of the true OGs of modern UFC fighting, and his career has progressed more into a commentary role. That’s because his performances inside the Octagon have tapered off as his in-ring career comes to an end.
Zhang has been explosive since signing with the UFC, scoring knockout wins over Brendson Ribeiro and Ozzy Diaz. He won both fights in the first round, and although Smith might last longer, he’s unlikely to get his hand raised.
We’re taking the $1.20 for Zhang to win and punters will get better odds for him to win by KO.
Giga Chikadze vs. David Onama
There is another good value bet at UFC Fight Night with David Onama, who fights the always-tough Giga Chikadze.
Onama is rising the featherweight ranks, and it helps that he looks like he should be fighting in a much heavier class. He is built strong, which has resulted in recent decision wins over Jonathan Pearce and Roberto Romero.
Chikadze isn’t a fighter to be messed with, and he has some quality wins on his 15-4 record. However, momentum is with Onama, who we believe is a good bet at $1.57 to win outright, and punters will get more generous odds for him to win by decision.
Michel Pereira vs. Abus Magomedov
We love backing Michel Pereira, who is the $1.62 favourite to beat Abus Magomedov, and that name is always hard to beat in the UFC.
Luckily for punters wanting to back Pereira, Magomedov doesn’t always live up to his family name. He is 27-6-1, and although he has looked good recently with wins over Warlley Alves and Brunno Ferreira, Pereira is another step up.
Pereira is a main card fighter and has been for a long time. He is a smart fighter, so include him in UFC picks at $1.62.
Randy Brown vs. Nicolas Dalby
It’s not always easy to bet on Randy Brown, especially at short odds of $1.44. However, we’re backing him to win by knockout over Nicolas Dalby.
Brown is six years younger than Dalby at 34, which is already an advantage, and he looks to bounce back after losing to Bryan Battle by decision at UFC 310. It was a tough field, and Dalby presents him with an ideal bounce-back chance.
Take nothing away from Dalby, but he was originally scheduled to fight Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos, whom Brown has already beaten. He’s the $2.87 underdog, and we don’t see any value with those odds.
Ikram Aliskerov vs. Andre Muniz
Big money has come for Ikram Aliskerov, and it’s not hard to see why. The $1.16 favourite has the class edge over Andre Muniz, and it could be a three-round battle.
Aliskerov loves to throw plenty of punches, which wins him rounds, and that’s why he’s an odds-on favourite to improve his record to 16-2. This is a stepping-stone fight for the Russian, who should bounce back after losing by KO to former champ Robert Whittaker.
It’s a much easier fight, so include Aliskerov in UFC multi picks.

UFC Fight Night Multi Picks
We’re not including Machado Garry in our UFC multi because of the lack of betting support. We’re going with four fighters at shorter odds, which should result in a nice payout for punters.
Our UFC Fight Night multi includes Zhang, Onama, and Aliskerov, and Brown. The odds aren’t big for Zhang or Aliskerov, but Onama and Brown boost the multi odds, and it’s worth taking.
