Aryna Sabalenka is yet to win a Wimbledon title, and unfortunately for the Belarussian it’s not going to be easy this year with an incredibly difficult draw.

Gone under the radar a bit in 2026, but the Czech is having an outstanding year with a 28-8 record.

Won the lead-up event in Bad Homburg, and has the game for grass court tennis – although her Wimbledon record hasn’t been great. Muchova was a Quarter Finalist back in 2019 and 2021, but hasn’t done much since – but I’m happy to ignore this, knowing the Czech can certainly make a run at this title.

Featuring in Sabalenka’s quarter – which is the quarter from hell, but Muchova has a great record against the world number one. Mirra Andreeva will also be a handful, but this isn’t a bad time to get the Russian who enters this off winning her maiden Grand Slam title at Roland Garros.

Her best is good enough to win this.

A Finalist here last year – but don’t mention the war, completely embarrassed on the big stage with a double bagel against Swiatek.

Similar to that first quarter, the fourth quarter isn’t easy for Anisimova – Keys in the third round, followed by Noskova and Rybakina. That being said, she’s a strong grass court performer and despite the tricky draw I think she’s a good chance of advancing.

If she does reach the Final, will the mental scars of last year resurface?

The 18-year-old American is a star in the making.

Showed her potential at the Australian Open at the start of the year reaching the Quarter Final, and features in arguably the easiest quarter of the draw with Pegula and Gauff – two Americans who haven’t been great on grass across their career.

Semi Final run at Queens in the lead-up – big opportunity for Jovic to make a big run.

The draw is stacked with Americans, and this one has gone under the radar a bit.

Emma Navarro is a proven grass court performer, reaching the Quarter Finals here in 2024.

The former top-10 player enters this in good touch, reaching the Final in Nottingham and appears to have overcome a rough patch on tour which saw her ranking drop to as low as 39 in the world.

Will need to get past both Svitolina and Kostyuk in the third quarter, but her best on this surface can do that.

The Filipino can put a scare through her quarter of the draw, with the left-hander playing some good tennis on grass over her career, including the lead-up where she reached the Semi Final at Berlin.

Eala will need to get past Iga Swiatek – but she has really troubled the Pole over her short career. Eala beat Swiatek in Miami last year, despite being ranked 140 at the time, and a month later on the clay she took a set of Iga in Madrid.

If she can get past Swiatek here, the draw really opens up for Eala to make a breakthrough at a major.

Elisabetta Cocciaretto

A bit random considering just one grass court match in the lead-up, but Cocciaretto has had a sneaky good year to date with a 20-11 record.

The Italian won in Hobart to start the year, and reached the Quarter Finals in Doha, including a win over Coco Gauff.

Cocciaretto does have a solid grass court record across her career going 13-8, including beating Pegula here last year. The Italian could be one to watch.
