Elena Rybakina v Ons Jabeur

Hope you followed our $9 tip at the start of the tournament for Ons Jabeur to be crowned the Queen of Wimbledon, as I fully expect the Tunisian’s all-round game to be too much for Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina.
Jabeur has been troubled her last two matches going to three sets against the defensive style of Marie Bouzkova and Tatjana Maria, but she’ll get a completely different look against the power-game of Rybakina in the Final which works out for her well. Although Jabeur is capable of hitting her opponent off the court, she would much prefer to control tempo and apply her range of slices and drop shots, working best against the heavy ball opposed to the continual slice we saw in the Semi Final from Maria.
As for Rybakina, a lot of her opponents have been flat ball strikes with Bianca Andreescu, Ajla Tomljanovic and even Simona Halep; although the Romanian is sound defensively, she didn’t trouble the Kazakh with the variety that we’ll see from Jabeur. The Tunisian will likely bring Rybakina to the net as often as possible to chase down drop shots, and away from the baseline where she’s capable of building momentum and overpowering the world number 2.
Last time they met was in Chicago in October last year, where Jabeur was in complete control before Rybakina retired hurt down 6-4 3-2. The time prior was in March 2021 where Jabeur was victorious in three sets, while Rybakina won their first meeting in 2019 when they were both ranked outside the top 50. Although Rybakina is playing at an elite level this tournament, the Jabeur style should trouble the Kazakh with the Tunisian winning her first major, and her 23rd win from her last 25 matches.
