It’s Women’s Semi Finals Day, featuring four players yet to play in a Grand Slam Final including a qualifier. Who will advance?

The head-to-head is having a major influence in this market, with Marta Kostyuk winning both meetings between the pair – both this year.

Kostyuk beat Andreeva in the Final of Madrid only a month back, 6-3 7-5, and as a result the Ukrainian enters this Semi Final as favourite – but I just cannot overlook the form of Andreeva this entire French Open.

Andreeva has the best serve plus return rating of any player left in the women’s draw at 117.2, including wins over the tricky Bouzkova and destroying the in-form Cirstea in the Quarter Final. The Russian has been in the Semi Finals of Roland Garros before, and would have learnt from that experience, while this is Kostyuk’s first Grand Slam Semi.

I just cannot overlook Andreeva as an underdog in this, considering she was a $1.67 favourite just a month back in Madrid.

If someone tells you they predicted this Semi Final match-up at the start of the tournament, they’re lying.

Maja Chwalinska has come through qualifying all the way to the Semi Finals, and I wouldn’t be surprised if she did advance to the French Open Final, but I have to side with Diana Shnaider.

Shnaider had very little genuine form on clay coming into the French Open, but the Russian has been solid throughout the entire tournament, beating Madison Keys in the Round of 16 before the major Sabalenka upset in the Quarter Final as an $8 underdog.

Taking nothing away from the Pole as all her opposition have been solid, but she hasn’t recorded a scalp like Keys throughout the tournament – her best either Mertens or Kalinskaya.

Shnaider has covered the line in every single match she’s played this French Open, so I’ll be backing her in to do something similar against the qualifier.
