Metro favourites from the Grahame Begg yard have been money this year with 14 of 24 saluting and Takeko looks another likely candidate here. The mare is first up but comes in off a terrific trial win. The key to her is the map, if Tom Prebble can have her no further back than two pairs, even if wide, she should be too strong late.

Honor Galore looks big overs second up. She did enough first up over 1000m but she is much better suited here second up over 1300m. The key to her is the map, she should lob just behind the leaders off what looks a solid tempo. She can use that good position to finish off hard. 3Kg claim for Radley is a big help too.

Rosso loomed to win his race last time at Geelong but fitness just gave out late. It was a forgivable run as he was jumping up from 2000m to 2400m and just ran into a hard fit horse on a wet track. That should do him the world of good coming into this race at what will now be peak fitness and it looks a suitable affair for the Irish import.
Recommended Price: $4.40
Confidence Level: 4/5
