Loved the recent trial of Scalable where she finished a fast finishing third in a heat that has produced excellent form, with Istolea Merc winning on Monday and Beauty Charge running a terrific second at Randwick last Saturday. Scalable showed good ability last prep and while she likely gets back from the wide draw, should be running on hard, which should be no disadvantage at this time of day.

Loved the recent debut of Pierro Lad at Canterbury where he got back in the run and was held up for much of the straight, but really motored late to finish third. There was nothing wrong with how he jumped, so he should be able to sit much closer here from barrier four and the step up to 1400m looks suitable too.

Love that Joe Pride is backing up The Repliant up just two days after his very narrow second placing at Warwick Farm. He just about should have won that race but for being held up at the top of the straight and Adam Hyeronimus making a bad decision to go back to the inside. Nash Rawiller takes over again and should give him every chance from barrier one.
