Racing Tips – Wednesday Best Bets for Sandown

Sandown hosts a twilight meeting on Wednesday with the first race to be run at 3.40pm. The track will be rated good.

Best Bet

10. Exceed The Dream
Sandown R7 (7.00pm)

Exceed The Dream can continue her consistent form with another win. The Maher/Eustace trained mare was huge at Moonee Valley last time out, going down narrowly after being caught three wide without cover for much of the race. Fitter and out in trip, she looks poised to turn the tables on Intrepid Eagle from last start.

Recommended Price: $2.50
Confidence Level: 4.5/5

More Racing Tips

4. Dragoon
Sandown R1 (3.40pm)

It took a very smart one to beat Dragoon last start at Cranbourne and he can make amends here. The gelding looked all but home there only to have Immediacy come up his inside and catch him late. The strength of that form was demonstrated when Immediacy came out and won at this track next time out. While Dragoon has drawn wide, Daniel Moor should be able to press forward and take all the catching.

Recommended Price: $3.00
Confidence Level: 4/5

2. Hissy Fit
Sandown R3 (4.50pm)

Hissy Fit bounced back to her best with a strong win at Mornington last start and looks over the odds in this field of five. With favourite Catahoula likely to be giving away a big start, Hissy Fit should either be leading or right up there and over the 1000m will take plenty of catching.

Recommended Price: $4.00
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

4. The Negotiator
Sandown R5 (6.00pm)

The formlines around The Negotiator are holding up well. First up he was an impressive winner at Cranbourne defeating subsequent Flemington victor El Soleado, before running well in an $80K race at Geelong where he wasn’t suited by the pattern of the day. Down in class and with Damian Lane up, he’ll prove hard to beat.

Recommended Price: $5.00
Confidence Level: 3.5/5
