Racing Tips – Wednesday Best Bets for Sale and Warwick Farm

Expect soft ground at Sale while Warwick Farm will be heavy.

Best Bet

Sale 4/7 Sigourney (2:10pm)

But for some inexplicable riding in her debut race Sigourney would be arriving in Australia as a last start maiden winner. However, that just makes the opportunity to back her here all the more attractive. She has a tendency to do things wrong but Jordie Childs is the ideal rider for her and suspect she has a lot of ability.

Recommended Price: $2.60
Confidence Level: 4.5/5

More Racing Tips

Sale 1/7 Think I’m Divine (12:25pm)

Suspect that Think I’m Divine would be a lot shorter here if he came from a higher profile stable. There was a lot to like about his debut at Caulfield in Listed company and the form out of that race should prove strong. Sale should suit his gets back style as well.

Recommended Price: $3.50
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

Warwick Farm 3/4 Samarkand (3:10pm)

Samarkand scored his first Australian win in impressive style first up at Kembla. This is a tougher affair but the ex-Kiwi has genuine upside and should only be fitter for that effort. Hugh Bowman should press forward and take all the catching.

Recommended Price: $2.40
Confidence Level: 4/5

Sale 8/4 Ripplebrook (4:30pm)

This is an open race and the veteran Ripplebrook looks well placed. That BM64 he ran in last start was particularly strong and while this race is graded the same, there is not nearly the depth to it. Ripplebrook saves his best for this track and a repeat of his last start fourth placing would see him hard to beat.

Recommended Price: $6.00
Confidence Level: 3/5
