Pump The Pedals was good first up at Moe when he had to work from the wide barrier and faded a little late to finish fourth. The gelding will only strip fitter for that and with Linda Meech up no doubt the plan is to go forward here and ideally lead. He will take a lot of catching.

Boncapo looks like a solid bet here third up. The Ciaron Maher trained gelding raced a bit greenly last time at Ararat and that formline has proved strong with a winner already out of the race. Harry Coffey can position him in front of the favourite Rhooky and that position in running can make all the difference.
