Ti Tree Lad is far too good an animal to be going round in BM58 company and given the excellent recent form of the Mitch Freedman stable I am happy to be with him to break through first up. His jumpouts suggest he is going as well as ever and he won his only other start in this grade.

Craig Williams goes to Moe for two rides on Thursday and I don’t think he is bored or wanting to sample the local culinary favourite – the ‘Moe Oyster’. No, I suspect it’s because this Ciaron Maher trained filly is well above average, as her recent jumpouts have indicated. Should be way too good on debut.

Van Gerwen was terrible at Pakenham last time but it was simply too bad to be true and he looks worth another chance here. He was a brilliant all the way winner around here two starts ago and the 2400m should hold no fears. At big odds here he is well worth another play.
