Racing Tips – Thursday Best Bets for Yarra Valley

Yarra Valley - Expert Horse Racing Tips

Racing heads to the picturesque Yarra Valley on Thursday for an eight race card to be run on heavy ground.

Best Bet

2. Fiftysevenyears
Yarra Valley R6 (4.30pm)

Fiftysevenyears was only narrowly collared here first up after leading up the field. The gelding will strip fitter for that run and with senior rider Jason Maskiell going on, should get his chance to break through. This looks a race in two between Fiftysevenyears and Magnace, but the fitness edge and on pace racing style can prove decisive.

Recommended Price: $3.00
Confidence Level: 4/5

More Racing Tips

4. Rank'n'file
Yarra Valley R1 (1.30pm)

Jockey Michael Dee comes to Yarra Valley for one ride only and it’s easy to see how he was keen to be with this horse on debut. The gelding trialled very well recently at Benalla, showing good speed to sit outside the leader and getting in front late. There has been some decent form going into and coming out of that heat as well.

Recommended Price: $2.30
Confidence Level: 4/5

6. Fossetta
Yarra Valley R3 (2.30pm)

Happy to take the gamble on Fossetta here in a field of four. She has a race fitness edge on all four rivals and two starts back she placed second in Mornington so is hardly in terrible form. At double figure odds she is well worth the risk.

Recommended Price: $10
Confidence Level: 3/5

3. Not A Problem
Yarra Valley R5 (3.30pm)

Not A Problem is flying this prep and can win again. He was a dominant winner here on heavy ground in December so the conditions are in his favour once again. Jarrod Fry will need some luck from the inside draw but should be too good if he gets it.

Recommended Price: $3.00
Confidence Level: 4/5
