Scintillante looks like a very promising horse in the making. He ran a massive race last time out at Geelong, flying home to just miss – one stride later he would have got there. The son of Savabeel should be suited getting out in trip and the booking of Craig Williams is a plus.

Samurai is well and truly ready for the mile now after three runs this prep up to the 1321m last time out. He was well performed out to 2000m last prep and the Anthony and Sam Freedman trained gelding showed he was ready to find that form again with a good last start second at Geelong. Just needs any luck from the inside draw to be winning.
