Racing Tips – Thursday Best Bets for Kyneton

Racing on Thursday is at Kyneton, just north of Melbourne. The track will be rated good.

Best Bet

6. Man of Heart
Kyneton R8 (4:30pm)

Man of Heart has struck a rich vein of form and finds the perfect race to win again. The Danny O’Brien trained gelding broke his maiden over this track and distance before stepping up in grade and running a highly respectable second at the Bool. This isn’t strong, he is suitably drawn and should be too good.

Recommended Price: $2.50
Confidence Level: 4/5

More Racing Tips

11. Extreme Ally
Kyneton R2 (1:30pm)

Damian Lane comes to Kyneton for one ride on Thursday and it’s easy to see why he was keen to stick with this filly given she ran very well last time at Benalla in what looks to be a strong form race. She has to overcome a wide draw but Lane will no doubt get her running early and she should take a lot of catching.

Recommended Price: $6.00
Confidence Level: 3/5

2. Princeofcambridge
Kyneton R5 (3:00pm)

Princeofcambridge finds a highly suitable race third up. The ex-Kiwi hasn’t been too far away in both runs back from a spell and getting out to 1400m looks ideal. This race has been very much weakened by scratchings and he should be too good for an ordinary bunch.

Recommended Price: $2.60
Confidence Level: 4/5

1. Side Bet
Kyneton R7 (4:00pm)

Side Bet is having his first start for new trainer Charles Cassar and looks well placed to make it a winning one. His form when trained by Matt Laurie was quite good – he won two starts before he went for a spell – and his recent trial win at Tatura was most impressively. Hopefully they adopt similar tactics here and he will take plenty of catching if so.

Recommended Price: $5.00
Confidence Level: 3.5/5
