Jamie Melham comes to Sale for one ride on Sunday and it’s little surprise she was keen to stick with Albertville off a good win against a handy looking field. That was the gelding’s first run in almost a year so he should strip even fitter for that effort and while he obviously needs some luck from the draw he has the right lady in the saddle for it.

The Julius Sandhu trained debutant Warrior Within looks hard to beat first up off the back of some nice trial form, especially his most recent hit out at Cranbourne where he won impressively. From barrier one Jett Stanley should have him right on speed and take a lot of catching.

Sticking with the Sanhu stable here, this time in the form of lightly raced three year old Oxford Blue. The stable though enough of him to have a crack at the VRC Derby last prep and while he ultimately didn’t stay the trip, he showed with a nice resuming run at Sandown, placing third, that he still has lots of potential. Strikes an ideal race here second up.
