Best Bet

1. Bitcoin
Ballarat R1 (1.00pm)

Bitcoin should prove too strong on his hurdling debut. The gelding was no star on the flat but a capable enough type, but his recent trials have shown a real aptitude for the jumping caper. Trained and now ridden by Steve Pateman, he gets his chance here.

Recommended Price: $1.90
Confidence Level: 4.5/5

More Racing Tips

1. Instigator
Ballarat R2 (1.40pm)

Instigator was travelling like a winner (admittedly a mile from home) at Warrnambool last start when he very unfortunately dislodged the jockey around the turn back onto the course proper. He was very heavily backed there which wasn’t a great surprise as he is a class runner at his best. Looks well over the odds again.

Recommended Price: $5.00
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

5. Timeonlees
Ballarat R4 (3.00pm)

The flat races are back on the synthetic track that the McEvoy stable have an incredible record on and they can get another winner here with Timeonlees. His only previous win came here and he did enough first up to suggest he is ready to go again with John Allen booked from a perfect draw.

Recommended Price: $2.70
Confidence Level: 4/5
