Golden Hips looks class above here stepping out to 2050m. The gelding resumed with an excellent first up win at Moe before not having much luck at Wangaratta last time out. This is a very thin race and from barrier one Campbell Rawiller will give him every chance.

Conni Island is on debut here but the gelding is certainly bred to handle wet ground being by Nicconi out of a Reset mare. He showed nice speed in his recent jumpout at Cranbourne so should be able to lead this and the Mark Walker trained two year old will take some catching.

Copperfield ran an excellent race last time at his first outing for new trainer Andrew Dale, hitting the line hard over 1400m to just miss. The gelding loves wet ground so these conditions will suit, as long as barrier one isn’t off by this time of day he looks the one.
