Star Stock looks the one to beat in the Jericho Cup consolation. Local trainer Symon Wilde will no doubt have long set him for this race and he has tuned up for this race with a solid last start placing at Casterton. His sole run beyond 3200m saw him placed third behind the Cup favourite, Bazini.

New Zealand visitor Botti can take out the 2022 Jericho Cup. The gelding is trained by Kevin Myers, a true genius when it comes to training staying horses. While he has to concede 4Kg to the field, you can be certain he will be primed to peak on the day. The favourite Bazini has strong claims but the value clearly lies with Botti.
