Racing Tips – Sunday Best Bets for Swan Hill

With Kilmore Cup day abandoned, we head to Swan Hill for our Sunday racing fix. The track is rated a Soft 7.

Best Bet

10. Poppet
Swan Hill R7 (5:08pm)

Poppet finally took luck out of the equation last start when the jockey took her straight to the front and she bolted in. Not only did she win by six lengths, she ran almost a full second faster than the BM58 on the same card. A repeat of that effort will see her very hard to beat here.

Recommended Price: $4.20
Confidence Level: 4/5

More Racing Tips

6. Rue De Palais'
Swan Hill R2 (2:17pm)

Rue De Palais showed some good ability at two and produced a very encouraging run last time at Geelong. The blinkers come off here so hopefully he can relax a little better in the run and if he does so he should prove very hard to beat.

Recommended Price: $5.00
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

1. Assignment
Swan Hill R3 (2:55pm)

Assignment looks the value here in the third race. The Matt Cumani trained four year did enough first up at Bendigo and should appreciate the extra trip here, as well as strip fitter. The very much in-form Dean Yendall takes the ride and can negate the wide draw.

Recommended Price: $4.20
Confidence Level: 3/5

4. Scotch Sun
Swan Hill R5 (4:05pm)

Scotch Sun looks a great each way bet here. The seven year old comes off a maiden win but it was over this staying trip of 2400m and it was pretty comfortable. On a seven day back up and drawn to get the right run, he should be in the finish at big odds.

Recommended Price: $6.00
Confidence Level: 3.5/5
