Early favourite Appealing looks under the odds with seven weeks between runs so the value might lie with Circle of Angels. She produced a much improved effort last start at Cranbourne and gets blinkers on for the first time here. Expect her to lead again and take some catching.

Highland Blaze looks every bit a dour stayer and should relish the 2200m here. The three year old did well to get as close as he did last time at Moe given the saddle slipped, blinkers go on and he strikes a very winnable race. Lightly raced, (this is start three) he has nice upside.

Kailash was well backed on his Australian debut at Sandown but disappointed. However, he has been back to the jumpouts since and performed well, finishing second. On his overseas form he would be right in this and at almost triple the price he started at Sandown, he is certainly worth an each way bet. The booking of Billy Egan is an interesting pointer.
