Thought that Arkansaw Kid was the value in the $1m Supernova. Under the set weights and conditions he is one of only a handful of winning chances iun the race and he was game when chasing home the very much in-form Jigsaw in a similar race at Cranbourne last time. Private Eye is a deserved favourite but like the value on offer for Arkansaw.

Yorkshire was a total flop first up at Newcastle but bounced back nicely at Randwick last time to win the Festival Stakes. He should still be open to good improvement from that so I expect him to be cherry ripe for this race here. Most of the key chances have drawn back and wide, I wouldn’t expect him to lead but he should be right on speed and be hard to run down.
