He has blown the start both times in over shorter trips, producing a remarkable finish to win first up and savaging the line over 1800m last time. Under the set weights and conditions he is one of only a handful of winning chances iun the race and he was game when chasing home the very much in-form Jigsaw in a similar race at Cranbourne last time. Private Eye is a deserved favourite but like the value on offer for Arkansaw.

He should still be open to good improvement from that so I expect him to be cherry ripe for this race here. Most of the key chances have drawn back and wide, I wouldn’t expect him to lead but he should be right on speed and be hard to run down.
