She is better known over longer trips but did enough over the mile first up in February to a suggest a race like this isn’t beyond her capabilities at 2000m. She will definitely be the strongest late.

Litzdeel comes back from the 2800m of the St Leger in Melbourne where she ran a very close second to American Wolf and that horse ran well in the Derby last week. The horse that should have won the Derby, Statuario, she wasn’t away from two starts prior. Back to fillies grade with a favourite having her third run in fifteen days, she can measure up.

Arran Bay has been terrific at his last two runs under huge weights, especially his most recent run here under 62.5Kg where he was beaten a lip. The gelding won’t know himself with 55.5Kg and Tom Stockdale should have no trouble slotting in from barrier seven.
