Thought the filly Aeliana was the value in the Randwick Guineas. Her last run at a mile in the Thousand Guineas in the spring had to be seen to be believed and if things unfold for her in the run, she’s capable of taking it up to the odds on pop Broadsiding.

Stefi Magnetic can add another Group 1 to her CV in the Canterbury Stakes. Bjorn Baker – whose stable is in supreme form – will have her primed for this somewhat weaker Group 1 race and it’s notable that she was outstanding in the spring resuming over an unsuitable 1100m in the Group 2 Shorts. The 1300m here should be her pet trip and she can run over them late.

4. Buenos Noches

It’s not a strong edition of the Newmarket Handicap so if new trainer Ciaron Maher can get Buenos Noches back to his old form down the straight he is a great chance here at big odds. He’s run some terrific races here behind the likes of Imperatriz and In Secret. The trials have been quiet, but he flies fresh.
