This race sets up nicely for him, he should looking for the mile now and with the claim for Logan Bates from the low draw, he is very well placed.

Air Assault is the only natural leader in the field and even if something else decides to change its pattern (doubtful given they are known quantities at this point) he can be ridden with a sit. Observer has found his mark now in the betting but there is no question he deserves to be clear favourite for the Australian Guineas. Last year’s Derby winner was a dominant winner of the key lead up, the Autumn Stakes, and gets a weight swing in his favour vis a vis Planet Red from that. Out to the mile he should be even better suited.
