Beiwacht didn’t just win the Golden Rose last start, he obliterated the opposition and broke the track record in the process. Chris Waller has a phenomenal record in this race having won it six times so the fact he has freshened him for this, rather than tackle the Guineas, suggests he is the right candidate. He beat home the Guineas winner and Everest runner up in the Rose, and he can beat what is admittedly a very good field here.

Observer looked to have the Derby at his mercy already but once he drew barrier four, he had one hoof on the trophy. He was an easy, eased down winner of the Vase last start having run very well in the Guineas. Being by Ghaiyyath he is bred to relish the trip and he simply looks a class above.

The Empire Rose has a habit of throwing up a big priced winner so happy to have something on Damask Rose and Benagil. Damask Rose has been crying out for a big track and a fast pace, while Benagil was very good first up and should have probably two more Group 1s to her credit (due to awful rides). Willo should give her every chance from barrier four.
