Revelare has long been touted as a Cups contender and he underlined those wraps with a terrific win at Caulfield last time out over 2000m. Just second up there, he should take a lot of fitness benefit from it and while he is unproven over this extra trip, he relaxes like a horse who should relish a trip. Has a big class edge so long as he runs the trip.

The old boy Mr Brightside showed he might have a win or two in him still with a very good second placing first up in the Memsie. The key here is he can probably get a very soft lead with not a lot of tempo in the race. Hopefully Jmac on Via and Lane on Aeliana are paying too much attention to each other, and Willo can pinch it in front. He’s the value anyway.
