The way he ran through the line to win the Sires suggests a mile won’t pull him up and he has shown the ability to mix wet and firm track form. Looks a class above once again and the market still doesn’t seem to be respecting him enough.

The price on War Machine was silly earlier in the week but now it has got to something more reasonable he looks a very solid bet in the 2025 Stradbroke. He was a dominant winner of the BRC Sprint and drops 3.5Kg into this. There should be a heap of speed on, so Tim Clark can position midfield and run over them late.

The Doomben Cup looks the right form for the Q22 and Kovalica certainly ran well enough there to suggest he can figure back on the Eagle Farm track that he adores, having won three of his four starts here. Blinkers go back on so he can sit a little closer in the run here.
