Verdad gets back out to 2000m for the first time since his three year old days and it’s worth remembering he did run second to Apulia (hot Perth Cup fav) in the MV Vase as a three year old before running fifth in the Derby, so I suspect he will run it no problem. His lead up form in the Kilmore and Werribee Cups has been solid and he can get a great run from barrier three with the claim.
