There is interesting racing up and down the eastern coast on Saturday, wet track form will be to the fore up north while at Flemington the track will nearly be rated good.

Exciting staying prospect Knight’s Choice looks primed to break through for a feature win here at the Sunshine Coast. The gelding backs up from a close up third at Eagle Farm behind Vow and Declare last week and should only be fitter into this. He’s got solid wet track form and should be at peak fitness now on his home track.

My Roca Fella faces a big jump in class but the gelding was a spectacular winner last time at Bendigo in maiden grade, winning by ten lengths and running more than a second and a half faster than the BM70 on the same card. The second and third placegetters have since won. Should lead and take catching again.

Genius trainer John Leek is sending this horse north in search of wet tracks, and it makes an awful lot of sense given he has won six of seven on wet ground. Forget last start on a firm deck at Sandown, he was terrific against the bias at Warrnambool and on his preferred ground should prove very hard to beat.

Fearless Writer flopped at Rosehill last start on a heavy track but if you look past that to her prior form at this track the mare is right in this race. She will appreciate getting back on a firmer track and blinkers go back on. Big show at nice odds.

Veteran galloper The Inevitable is enjoying a late career renaissance in the Queensland winter with back to back outstanding runs in the BTC Sprint and then the Stradbroke. He is relatively unproven on wet ground but if he handles it, he can account for this field despite the big weight.
