Racing Tips – Saturday Best Bets for Flemington

Racing heads back to Flemington Racecourse on Saturday where big fields and competitive racing awaits on what should be a perfect track.

Best Bet

9. Veloce Carro
Flemington R5 (2.10pm)

Veloce Carro is building a superb record down the straight and can win again. He showed a brilliant turn of foot to win here running away last time and from barrier three he should be sitting just off the likely leader Who Dares, and in front of key rival Extremely Lucky. If he lands there, the gelding has the brilliant turn of foot required to take advantage.

Recommended Price: $3.30
Confidence Level: 4/5

More Racing Tips

4. Aberfeldie Boy
Flemington R2 (12.25pm)

Aberfeldie Boy finally gets back out to his ideal trip (2520m). His form over shorter trips has been, clearly, the best of his career, and two placings at in Group 1 derbies as a three year old are a strong pointer to his staying proficiency. Just needs some luck from the inside draw.

Recommended Price: $3.80
Confidence Level: 4/5

5. Beour Bay
Flemington R4 (1.35pm)

Beour Bay maps to get the absolute gun run in this field and that can make all the difference. The mare was game in defeat at Mornington last time when posted wide throughout but from barrier three she should get the absolute plum run here behind Starlight Scope and Subliminal. In an even race, she looks the one.

Recommended Price: $5.00
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

6. King of the Castle
Flemington R6 (2.45pm)

The Sydney form of King of the Castle looks very good against this field, especially with just 55.5Kg and an ideal barrier draw. Both runs back from a spell have been excellent and he should be ready to peak third up. The gelding boasts an outstanding record at the distance and boasts excellent third up form.

Recommended Price: $3.20
Confidence Level: 4/5

1. Oak Hill
Flemington R9 (4.35pm)

Oak Hill is a sprinter with a brilliant turn of foot and he looks well placed to win again. He has recorded the fastest last 600m of the meeting at his last two runs and getting out to 1100m down the straight where he is trained should make for an ideal scenario. This is a strong race but he looks a real talent.

Recommended Price: $4.40
Confidence Level: 4/5
