Moravia had an outstanding first campaign and the three year old should prove too strong first up in the Eskimo Prince Stakes. Despite conceding race experience to all his rivals, he showed his ability with multiple placings at Group level, and while he did disappoint in the Coolmore, prepared to overlook that run at the end of a long first prep. His recent trial was outstanding and he is capable of being ridden forward or back.

The gelding chased home the smart Tycoon Bec last time at Sandown, a welcome return to form after his second up flop, which surprised given his first up win. The extra trip is ideal and blinkers going on will suit.

Ceerseven is flying this prep and can take his winning form to Sydney. First up at Geelong he was huge against the tempo of the day, before defying a big betting drift and winning in impressive style at Moonee Valley. The knock on the horse is that he gets a long way back in the run, but from barrier three with Ben Melham he might be able to position a little closer here.

The gap in the market between High Octane and Holmes A Court looks too big. Both debuted in the same race here a fortnight ago, finishing first and second with less than a length between the pair. Both should improve out of that race so at big odds – Holmes A Court is bigger for the place than High Octane the win – he looks value.

WA visitor Bustler looks over the odds in the CF Orr Stakes. He has to make the step up to weight for age but coming off a short break following an excellent WA summer campaign, which yielded a Group 1 win, he should be primed and ready to go. Expect him to be back of midfield and flying home late.
