Racing Tips – Saturday Best Bets for Camperdown, Moonee Valley and Randwick

Moonee Valley generic

Racing on Saturday is at Moonee Valley and Randwick and the track is rated good at both venues, but our best bet comes from Camperdown in Victoria’s Western District.

8. Inala Michelle
Camperdown R6 (3:16pm)

Inala Michelle is having her first start for new trainer Lindsey Smith and it should be a winning debut. She has had only six starts, winning one, but has been placed in much better races than this. The mare won her only jumpout leading into this at Terang, leading all the way in good time. Expect her to be far too good for an ordinary bunch.

More Racing Tips

9. Crafty Eagle
Randwick R2 (12:55pm)

Crafty Eagle is going places and looks a very worthy favourite here. The John Thompson trained three year old has won two of his four starts, including a dominant victory last time at Gosford which have even been by a bigger margin had he seen clear running sooner. Most of these have found their mark and this looks his race.

Recommended Price: $2.50
Confidence Level: 4.5/5

7. Mahagini
Randwick R4 (2:05pm)

Mahagoni is knocking on the door for a win and getting out to 2000m looks an ideal formula. While the David Payne trained import is yet to race over this trip, he certainly gives every impression of running it out strongly. Dylan Gibbons should position him back of midfield and power over them late.

Recommended Price: $5.00
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

2. Ain'tnodeeldun
Moonee Valley R5 (3:00pm)

Ain’tnodeeldun has been racing very well this prep and finally strikes the ideal race. Mark Zahra takes the ride here instead of the apprentices he has had at his last two starts and I think it is an important booking. Zahra should be able to position him a little closer in the run this time and be too strong late.

Recommended Price: $4.00
Confidence Level: 4/5

3. Lord Paramount
Moonee Valley R6 (3:40pm)

Lord Paramount looks good value to upset stablemate Ice Pick Nick. The grey returned to Victoria from NSW last start with a dominant win at Wangaratta and stays in BM64 grade. This is tougher, but he should get the perfect run on the speed and will take a lot of getting past.

Recommended Price: $5.50
Confidence Level: 3/5

10. Stripped Back
Moonee Valley R7 (4:20pm)

Stripped Back was flat out disappointing last start but if you can forgive that (and the Flemington straight can throw up some odd performances) he is right in this race. First up, he was brilliant at Warrnambool sprinting home sharply over 1000m. From barrier three he will get every chance and the stable is in great form.

Recommended Price: $6.00
Confidence Level: 3/5

11. Po Kare Kare
Randwick R10 (5:55pm)

Po Kare Kare won brilliantly first up and looks well placed to repeat the dose in the last at Randwick. The Bryce Heys trained mare has long shown good talent and appears to finally be putting it together. Look for Alysha Collett to position her back of midfield and fly over them late.

Recommended Price: $2.80
Confidence Level: 4/5
