This gelding has been running very well of late since joining the yard in much stronger races over shorter trips, but 2200m should really be the ideal trip for him. Vegas On Fire has a tendency to mix her form but her best is certainly good enough to be going close in this field. She was well backed at Geelong last time at big odds and nearly pulled off the plunge, getting beaten less than a length. From barrier one she will be right on speed and give them something to catch.
