Best Bet
Rura Penthe has had one start for a second placing at Sale back in May. Trainer Chris Waller spelled the gelding following that, and he has tuned up for this with a couple of very good jumpouts at Flemington. This looks a highly winnable race for him. and Mick Dee has come up to Kyneton for just the one ride.

More Racing Tips
Steel Fox has been very unlucky at his last two starts, being stuck three wide without cover in both. This race isn’t overly strong and with even luck he is certainly capable of bouncing back at a nice price.
Recommended Price: $5.50

Dixie Built’s form is nothing to write home about but this is easily the weakest race he has contested for some time. The gelding also has the ability to race on speed. At nice double figure odds he looks a good each way bet.
Recommended Price: $9.00/3.00

Supreme Thunder needs firm ground to show his best and will get conditions to suit in the closer at Kyneton. The Matthew Williams trained gelding has never missed the quinella in four starts on good ground, but has never placed on soft or worse. His last start fourth on heavy ground was under the circumstances very good. Jordan Childs should press forward and just needs some luck early.
