Chasing Aphrodite was terrific first up behind Unlimited and Gilded Water and that form has held up very well with the latter being an impressive winner at Caulfield last Saturday. The import will strip fitter for that run and draws to get the right run on the speed. Will take plenty of beating.

Loved the debut of Barari at Swan Hill where she ran impressive time from the front, then she lost no admirers when dropping back from 1200m to 1000m next time at Sandown. From barrier one out to 1200m she should get the gun run here either leading or just behind if they go hard, and I expect her to be strong late once again.

If Lady Shenandoah had drawn a barrier she would be a moral against this field but I still expect her to be too good. She was a good thing beaten first up in the Concorde over 1000m but should be better suited still at 1200m. Just looks a class above what is a pretty thin Group 1 field.
