Racing Tips – Friday Night Racing Tips for Moonee Valley

Moonee Valley generic

The penultimate metro night meeting of the season comes from Moonee Valley on what should be a perfect evening for horse racing.

Best Bet

7. McAdam
Moonee Valley R2 (6.15pm)

McAdam was an impressive maiden winner here last time out and ran better time in doing than the Class 1 on the same night. The Danny O’Brien trained three year old steps up to take on the older horses but he finds a very weak contest and maps to get a cheap lead. Should be too good.

Confidence Level: 4.5/5

More Racing Tips

1. Stage 'n' Screen
Moonee Valley R3 (7.15pm)

Handy race here and while I do expect Stage ‘n’ Screen to drift from her current quote, the filly is a really promising type who was last seen when starting $8.50 in a Group 1. The Mark Walker trained three year old comes in here first up but has been trialling very well. Backing class to prevail.

Recommended Price: $3.00
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

1. Maximillius
Moonee Valley R8 (9.45pm)

Maximillius looks the value in the closer. I’ve really liked his first two runs over 955m this prep behind some handy ones and given that both of his career wins have come over the 1200m there is no reason he can’t step up to this distance effectively. His case will be aided by an ideal draw.

Recommended Price: $7.50
Confidence Level: 3/5
