The Valley hosts eight races on Friday night on what will be a good track leading into the meeting, but with possibly some rain around later.

Miss Alexis is by Dundeel out of Jameka so should only be better as she gets out in trip, but she certainly showed enough on her debut over 1400m at Pakenham to be going close here. The Ciaron Maher trained filly ran on well there and the form out of that race held up last night with the second placegetter winning. Looks a race in two between her and Rip’n’Rip with Miss Alexis being the clear value.

We tipped Dreams on here first up at a big price and the filly very nearly got the chocolates despite being caught three wide throughout. She will strip fitter for that run and out to 1200m, should be able to get a better run on speed and prove too strong for them.

Stepchild is knocking on the door to win a race and the Patrick and Michelle Payne trained gelding gets his chance here. His last two runs have been good over a mile or so with some nice form coming out of them, and this looks a slightly easier contest. The claim for Tom Prebble and step up in trip from a good draw will suit.
