Moonee Valley generic

Betseeker has you covered for free expert horse racing tips and best bets at Moonee Valley.

Racing is back at the Valley on Friday night and our best bet comes up in the opener, the 3800m Jericho Cup qualifier.

Best Bet

2. Privileged Son
Moonee Valley R1 (6.15pm)

Privileged Son looks a class above in this race. He was a terrific winner here two starts ago over 3000m against a much stronger field and he was so strong through the line. Look past the run last out in Adelaide, he gets out to his right trip and this isn’t strong.

Recommended Price: $4.00
Confidence Level: 4.5/5

More Racing Tips

5. Cash
Moonee Valley R2 (6.45pm)

Trainer Michael Hickmott has a great record when bringing horses over the border and he has another likely type here in Cash. He comes off a terrific barrier trial at Balaklava when leading all the way and he should adopt the same tactics here. There would have been plenty of options in Adelaide so the fact he has come here is a very strong pointer.

Recommended Price: $3.50
Confidence Level: 4/5

5. Divus Romulus
Moonee Valley R4 (7.45pm)

Divus Romulus is an emerging stayer who looks ideally placed here second up. He ran a close up up fourth here first up over the same trip in what looks to be a much stronger race. From barrier three John Allen can position him a little closer and should prove a class above.

Recommended Price: $3.00
Confidence Level: 4/5

4. Midnight Devil
Moonee Valley R7 (9.15pm)

Midnight Devil was given very little chance first up at this track when posted wide throughout. From barrier one this evening though, it should be a much different story as he should be able to hold the lead. From there, he will take a lot of catching.

Recommended Price: $5.00
Confidence Level: 3/5
