Racing Tips – Friday Best Bets for Moonee Valley

Moonee Valley generic

Moonee Valley hosts a race meeting on Friday night with eight races commencing at 6.15pm. The track will be rated good. Our best bet comes up in the short course race.

Best Bet

9. Satin and Silk
Moonee Valley R7 (9.15pm)

The Snowden stable have sent Satin and Silk down to Melbourne in excellent form, with an impressive win over 1000m at Gosford in slick time at her most recent start. That looks good for this BM64 over 955m, especially with an ideal draw in barrier two. Expect Blake Shinn to lead and take all the catching.

Recommended Price: $2.60
Confidence Level: 4.5/5

More Racing Tips

10. Belle Inferno
Moonee Valley R3 (7.15pm)

Fairly moderate maiden for a metro race and this filly from the Maher/Eustace should get her chance. She’s closed off well over shorter trips and out to 1514m, should be able to position a little closer in the run from the midfield draw.

Recommended Price: $3.50
Confidence Level: 4/5

6. Musgrave
Moonee Valley R5 (8.15pm)

If you go on his form two and three starts back – both excellent runs over this track and trip – Musgrave probably starts near favourite here. He was a touch disappointing over the 2400m at Sandown last time but the stable have elected to bring him back in trip and apply the visors. The booking of Mark Zahra is another interesting lead. Can win.

Recommended Price: $4.80
Confidence Level: 4/5

10. Hello World
Moonee Valley R8 (9.45pm)

Hello World is a promising colt who can take the next step in a winnable race at Moonee Valley. He won well first up at Mornington, finishing off hard with the last 100m being the best part of his race. With good speed drawn out wide, he should be able to slot in behind the leaders and have the last crack.

Recommended Price: $3.50
Confidence Level: 4/5
