In NSW, it’s Orange Cup day, while Friday night racing is from Cranbourne in Victoria. Expect wet tracks at both venues.

Midori Fuji looks primed to win here second up. It’s a proven formula for the gelding who broke his maiden by six and a half lengths second up, on heavy ground when last in work. There was plenty to like about his first up run, this is stronger than a typical Orange Class 1 but the Bjorn Baker trained gelding looks well up to it.

Washington Towers is a class sprinter that looks hard to beat in the Orange Town Plate. The gelding comes off back to back second placings at Canberra and Wellington, but the key to his chances here is the wet track. With three wins on heavy round, he loves it wet. Ideally drawn, expect him to take all the beating.
Recommended Price: $4.20
Confidence Level: 3.5/5
Masarbit comes off a last start second placing in the Albury Cup, which following on from a fifth placing at Rosehill establishes that that the gelding is in career best form. While he has had limited exposure to wet ground, if he handles it he can give them something to think about at nice odds.
Recommended Price: $5.50
Confidence Level: 3/5
Red Dates is a first starter by the brilliant stallion Extreme Choice and can prove hard to beat here. The Leon and Troy Corstens trained two year old has some excellent jump out form having won his most recent hit out at Flemington over the well performed Remedies. Expect him to lead and take all the catching.
Recommended Price: $2.30
Confidence Level: 4/5
