Racing Tips – Friday Best Bets for Ballarat and Canberra

Ballarat is on the synthetic while Canberra will be soft.

Best Bet

7. Red Hawk
Ballarat R8 (4:30pm)

Red Hawk is resuming here off the back of two impressive jumpouts, most recently a brilliant performance at St Arnaud which has already proved to be an excellent form reference. The McEvoy trained three year old was a brilliant debut winner at this track 12 months ago, he should be far too good for them.

Recommended Price: $2.50
Confidence Level: 4.5/5

More Racing Tips

7. Janosik
Canberra R2 (1:10pm)

Janosik hit the line strongly first up and looks ideally placed out to 1400m. The Joe Pride trained filly will find this easier than that Canterbury race and from barrier five should be able to settle closer in the run.

Recommended Price: $3.30
Confidence Level: 4/5

7. Soaring Eagle
Ballarat R4 (2:30pm)

Soaring Eagle ran third behind Black Bolt and My Boy Birmingham last start in an identical race to this one and those two again dominate the betting. Soaring Eagle was first up and caught wide without cover in that race, so he looks excellent value to cause an upset here.

Recommended Price: $5.00
Confidence Level: 3.5/5

7. Murrumbidgee River
Ballarat R6 (3:30pm)

Murrumbidgee River has been disappointing as his last couple of returns but he returns to the track where he broke his maiden in brilliant style about 12 months ago. The Maher/Eustace team have given him a couple of hurdle trials to keep him up to the mark fitness wise and hopefully sharpen him up.

Recommended Price: $4.80
Confidence Level: 3/5
