Raiders v Eels

Raiders
Win

The toughest game of the round happens to be the opener as the Raiders look to rebound from one of the biggest defeats in NRLW history. Teams off a loss of 50-plus have an exceptional record in the NRL so willing to trust that stat here. The Eels were handed their Round 1 win and couldn’t score against the Warriors last week. They also have a shot turnaround considering their travel. Canberra look the bet.

Same Game Multi

Madison Bartlett Try/Rory Owen Try
Same Game Multi

Madison Bartlett sits second on the all-time NRLW tyscoring list and has scored in five of her last six.

Rory Owen has five tries in 11 games throughout her short NRLW career.

Bulldogs v Dragons

Dragons +4.5
Line

The Bulldogs could not have started their NRLW life more impressively with wins in their first two games. They face their stiffest test to date this week though with the underrated Dragons not being shown nearly enough respect. Canterbury have defended extremely well but they have not been required to contain an attack as dynamic as that of the Dragons with the likes of Berry, Bostock, Vella and Law. The Dragons have looked good in both their showings to date and a win would not shock here.

Same Game Multi

Teagan Berry Try/Margot Vella Try
Same Game Multi

Teagan Berry has 30 tries in 33 games with her speed leading her to the top of the all-time tryscoring list.

Margot Vella is a highly underrated players with eight tries in 12 NRLW appearances.

Sharks v Cowboys

Sharks -10.5
Line

It is hard not to be with the Sharks here even if the disappointment of the Round 1 self-immolation remains raw. Cronulla followed that up with a 56-6 demolition of Canberra and can run riot when the passes stick. The key in this game is how poorly the Cowboys play away from Townsville. Seven of their last eight games on the road have been losses by at least 12 points. Cronulla are a nice bet laying points.

Same Game Multi

Emma Verran Try/Quincy Dodd Try
Same Game Multi

Emma Verran didn’t score all of last season but returned to her try scoring best with a four-try haul against the Raiders.

Quincy Dodd has been a solid tryscoring bet for the Sharks with eight tries in 22 games.

Tigers v Titans

Wests Tigers
Win

Betting in this game is highly disrespectful with the home team Wests Tigers one of the best bets of the week. The Tigers have won just two games apiece in each of their two seasons but look good things this week against a Titans team missing Shannon Mato, Evania Pelite and Georgia Hale. The Tigers covered against the Bulldogs last week and were unlucky not to win while they lost no admirers against the Broncos in Round 1. The Titans have been dreadful in both games and with so much talent on the sidelines, they face a difficult task winning on the road.

Same Game Multi

Emily Bass Try/Jaime Chapman Try
Same Game Multi

Emily Bass is a quality tryscorer with 13 tries in 20 matches.

Jaime Chapman is an elite tryscorer with 19 tries in 32 NRLW appearances.

Broncos v Roosters

Roosters +4.5
Line

Regular season NRLW games don’t come more anticipated than this with the two standout teams of this competition looking to lay a marker early. Both the Broncos and Roosters are unbeaten with the Broncos the preseason favourites and the Roosters the defending champions. It is surprising that betting is not closer. The Roosters have won four straight against the Broncos with the last three all by 16 or more points. With the Broncos having some key outs, there is more upside in betting the plus.

Same Game Multi

Taina Naivdi Try/Amber Hall Try
Same Game Multi

Taina Naividi scored a hat-trick in Round 1 and will benefit being on the Roosters’ right wing.

Amber Hall is a behemoth who has six tries in her last 11 games.

Knights v Warriors

Warriors +9.5
Line

The start in this one looks very big. The Knights were dreadful in their opener against the Bulldogs before improving with the return of Olivia Higgins in a 26-6 win over the Cowboys. The team still looks decidedly short of talent and laying nearly double digits seems way too big. The Warriors are a bit of an unknown at the moment but look to have plenty of talent and come into this off an impressive shutout win at home. Very happy to take the points.

Same Game Multi

Sheridan Gallagher Try/Michaela Brake Try
Same Game Multi

Sheridan Gallagher is making a name as one of the great tryscorers with 17 tries in 21 games.

Michaela Brake was a tryscoring machine in rugby union and opened her NRLW tally last week.
