The Sydney Roosters ended Brisbane’s premiership streak in last year’s finals series with a thrilling come-from-behind win and now they will look to put the Broncos’ efforts to bounce back on the backfoot.
Best Bet
The Brisbane Broncos were unbeatable for the first three seasons of the NRLW and looked to be on the march to a fourth straight title before the Roosters stunned them in the semis.
The Roosters marched on from that win by going on to win their inaugural NRLW title and led by Isabelle Kelly were dominant in the opener. The Broncos, by contrast, were exposed by a Newcastle team who put a gap on Brisbane late.
Brisbane should not be underestimated though. The Broncos continue to be led by the brilliant Ali Brigginshaw and feature plenty of stars including Julia Robinson, Tarryn Aiken and Tallisha Harden. They have played twice at Suncorp and won by 26 and 34. They are also 6-1 all-time against the Roosters. The line looks far too big.

Julia Robinson scored a double in a beaten team in the opening round and is now tied as the greatest tryscorer in NRLW history with eight.
Isabelle Kelly also scored a double after a season where she scored four tries and is arguably the Roosters’ biggest strike weapon.
Value Bet
The livewire Broncos No.6 has been in great tryscoring form. She scored twice in the competition played earlier in the year and then scored in Origin. She opened up this campaign with a try against the Knights. She is a huge price.
