After a disappointing showing at Wembley, England were much improved in Liverpool though still went down 14-4 in a fierce clash.
England went out with intent and kept Australia tryless at halftime. They won the possession split 53-47, committed four fewer errors and rank for 127 more metres. In the end it was just a lack of creativity and poor tactics that cost them in the end.
This is also not a great Australian team, one of the worst to tour England in three-quarters of a century. There are plenty of big names missing and they simply aren’t playing well.. They were there to be beat in the opener but a dreadful England could not take advantage and in the second Test England would have won could they have conjured anything in attack.
Dom Young and Jake Wardle are out for England so expect Harry Newman and Joe Burgess. A halves change is also expected with Mikey Lewis set to be recalled in place of George Williams.
Since moving from Great Britain to England in 2008, the home team has lost all 13 Tests against Australia. Recent Tests though have been close though with five of the last seven Australian wins of 14 or less.
Low-scorers have been the norm. The last three against England have tallied 18, 32 and six. Australia has played in six straight Tests of 34 or fewer.
There is unlikely to be many points in this one. The under 38.5 is a cracking bet.

Australia has scored six tries this series and half of those have gone to backrowers.
Hudson Young was super in Liverpool and scored his first Test try. He has 44 tries in 92 games across the last four seasons.
Angus Crichton was Australia’s best forward at Wembley with his strong running netting him a double.
Value Bet
Dolphins centre Herbie Farnworth is arguably the best centre in the world and had a sensational first Test at Wembley where he stood out as England’s best player by panels. He was nearly as good in the second Test. Farnworth had a great season scoring 12 tries in 19 games for the Dolphins. He has six tries in eight Tests for England including doubles in two of his last five.
