Penrith have thrown their hands up in this one by resting five players but can at least cover the big start against a Warriors team that rarely puts team to the sword.

Best Bet

Penrith +12.5
Line

The Warriors have been gifted two points by the NRL by being handed a home game in Auckland against the four-time defending premiers just three days after Origin II in Perth. Ivan Cleary has decided to rest Penrith’s five-strong Origin contingent, giving the Warriors a huge inside run to the two premiership points.

The line is a different matter completely though and given its size, it is hard to pass on Penrith getting 12.5 points.

Penrith have a great record against New Zealand with an 8-1 record in the last nine that includes seven covers.

Interstate underdogs of at least 10 points cover at 67% during the Origin period.

Penrith are 9-2 ATS as an underdog, they have covered three of four getting a start of at least a try and they are 20-9 ATS against Top 4 opposition.

The Warriors are 7-13 ATS as a home favourite and have covered just four of 16 at home laying more than a converted try.

The plus is the play.

Thomas Jenkins Try/Chanel Harris-Tavita Try
Same Game Multi

Thomas Jenkins has been in sensational form with seven tries in his last five games.

Chanel Harris-Tavita is one of the more underrated players in the NRL and he has scooped up five tries in 13 appearances this year.

Value Bet

Isaiah Papalii
To Score A Try

Isaiah Papalii returns to Auckland to meet the team he played for from 2017-20 and looks big value to score. The Panther edge has scored twice in 10 games this year and looks huge odds to get over this week. He has scored twice in four starts against the Wahs.
