NRL Tips – Warriors v Cowboys – Round 5 2022

NRL Betting Tips

New Zealand are a surprisingly big price when they play North Queensland at Redcliffe on Friday evening.

Best Bet

New Zealand ($1.90)

Make no mistake: this is a grim matchup. Both of these teams have found some early season success but neither will be playing finals football. This is, however, an excellent betting opportunity. The Warriors should be clear favourites yet this game has hovered around pick ’em since markets opened.

Injuries are certainly playing in New Zealand’s favour. They got Shaun Johnson back last week and were markedly improved. The Cowboys, by contrast, have lost fullback Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, their most dynamic player. The unreliable Scott Drinkwater dons the No.1 journey.

The Warriors have won four of their last six against the Cowboys. They have also won and covered three of their last four off a win. The Cowboys are 5-10 against the spread off a loss of more than 20 and an awful 2-11 against the number off conceding 25 or more points.

New Zealand are tremendous value.

Same Game Multi

New Zealand 13+/Reece Walsh Anytime Try ($7.50)

New Zealand are value across the board and the 13-plus is huge overs.

Reece Walsh has nine tries in 25 NRL games and scored the last time the Warriors played the Cowboys.

Value Bet

Euan Aitken Anytime Try ($4.00)

Euan Aitken has eight tries in 18 games for the Warriors so can find the line. Shaun Johnson loves hitting his backrowers on an edge so that is a positive. The Cowboys looked defensively frail against the Roosters edges last week.
