The Warriors return to Mt Smart for the third time and they are a tremendous bet to upset the resurgent Bulldogs who have no right to be favoured by such a big number on the road.
Best Bet
This is a great spot for the Warriors and that has been reflected in the early move for New Zealand that has seen them shorten from +5.5 to +4.
New Zealand have covered both games at Mt Smart this year and they have won and covered three straight against Canterbury. They have also covered six of eight off a double digit loss and 11 of 17 off being held to 10 or fewer.
Most importantly though this is a big spot where a team rebounds at home after a shocking defensive performance. Teams in that spot have covered 13 of 17 the last four years with the Warriors a perfect 3-0 against the number.
Canterbury have been notably improved but they have covered just 4 of 13 off a loss and road favouritism interstate is a big leap.
Same Game Multi
Edward Kosi has been in outstanding tryscoring form with five tries in three games since returning to the team with all those against Top 8 opposition.
Daejaen Asi has scored in two of his last three starts and the Bulldogs have conceded to a half in three of their last four games.
Value Bet
Wayde Egan has scored four tries this year and continually threatens close to the line on a bad team. Canterbury have conceded to a middle in three of their last five with their line defence still a little concerning.
