Round 21 wraps up with a game that has plenty on the line as the Tigers try to stave off the wooden spoon while Adam O’Brien is fighting for his job as the Knights sink deeper into the mire.
Best Bet
Finding a side in this one is not easy. The Tigers are the better team and they are at home and they have covered five of six off scoring 30-plus. Betting them as a favourite though takes some gumption. The Knights are a complete mess and cover at just 39% on the road.
The over though looks a good play in what is overs season.
The over has hit in five of the last seven with six of those reaching 44 combined points.
This is a strong over spot for the Tigers too. The over is 30-15 when the Tigers are off scoring 20 or more points and 20-9 when they are off a win. The over is 10-5 when the Tigers are favoured by a try or more.
The points should flow in the final match of Round 21.
Same Game Multi
Ken Maumalo has six tries in his last five games against the Knights.
Fa’amanu Brown has been in excellent try scoring form since returning to the NRL with four tries in eight games.
Value Bet
Adam Doueihi has really stepped up since returning to the halves after a long injury layoff and with no Luke Brooks or Jackson Hastings he clearly has the role as the No.1 playmaker. He has scored in two of the last three weeks and will be running all day against the limp Knights defence.
