The Titans are not without a chance against an injury-decimated Storm team that are fielding a near-unrecognisable back five.
Best Bet
On paper the Storm should win this and win easily. They are in the Top 4 with the Titans running last. The Storm have won seven straight against the Titans. They have covered six of nine when favoured by more than 16 at AAMI. The Titans have covered just three of 14 off a loss and four of 17 off conceding 30-plus.
This Storm team though has been brutalised by injury with Tyran Wishart to play fullback. Huge favourites of 16 or more in the final seven rounds of the season have covered just 11 of 31 the last four years. The Titans have covered six of the last eight meetings, nearly exclusively as a big underdog.
It won’t be a pretty watch but the big start is the play here.
Same Game Multi
David Nofoaluma has scored eight tries in 12 games for the lowly Tigers and will get service he has only dreamed of from Munster and Hughes.
Beau Fermor has scored five tries this year, was desperately unlucky to have one taken off him last week and meets a very fragile Storm left edge.
Value Bet
Hughes has scored 10 tries this season for his best return. Eight of those tries have come in the last 11 games. With such a weak set of outside backs he is going to need to be a runner.
