NRL Tips – Sharks v Tigers – Round 5 2022

NRL Betting Tips

The hapless Tigers have been dreadful this year but surely can keep this one within the big line.

Best Bet

Wests Tigers +17.5 ($1.90)

There is no doubting there is a significant gulf between the Sharks and the Tigers this year but in wet weather a gap of 17.5 points seems very large.

Sydney is expected to be under deluge for the remainder of the week and that makes the big start most enticing.

The Tigers have covered 15 of 20 off scoring 12 or fewer including 11 of 15 away from their suburban home ground. they have covered 4 of 5 getting more than 16 points.

The Sharks have covered just 1 of 5 as a double digit favourite.

The Tigers plus is hardly a reliable proposition but looks the play here.

Same Game Multi

Sione Katoa Try/Siosifa Talakai Try ($3.30)

Katoa has 35 tries in 52 games, an outstanding strikerate, and has cross for three in four games this season. He scored a double the last time the Sharks played the Tigers.

Talakai was dominant in the centres last week, scoring a try and breaking eight tackles. That is bad news for a worrying Tigers right edge defence.

Value Bet

Oliver Gildart Anytime Try ($5.50)

Wests Tigers centre Oliver Gildart has yet to score in the NRL but has shown plenty of dash. He gets a good matchup this week against the slow-footed Jesse Ramien so can cross for his first.
