Melbourne went ballistic on the Wests Tigers last week, winning 64-0 at home to dampen enthusiasm around the Tigers while reaffirming the Storm’s place at the top of premiership betting.

While the Sharks on the road at night are a very different proposition, last week’s performance puts them in strong stead for this week.

Teams off a win of 50 or more have covered at a clip of 68% since 2008, an astonishing record. Teams off a shutout have also covered 16 of 23 the last four seasons.

The talismanic Harry Grant likely returns, a huge boost for the Storm.

Melbourne also have a tremendous record against the Sharks, winning seven of the last nine and covering five of the last seven.

The Sharks have covered just three of nine against Top 8 opposition and have not put strong performances together, covering just one of six off a double digit win.

Chips in the Storm.

To Score A Try

Dally M Medal winner Jahrome Hughes is an underrated tryscorer who has 64 tries in 158 top grade games. He has underachieved this year so expect him to go on a run at some point this yea. He has scored in two of his last six against the Sharks.
